Description

Due to its design, the Spiros con­nec­tor auto­mat­i­cal­ly seals upon dis­con­nec­tion from the syringe con­tain­ing the med­ica­tion. This reduces the risk of acci­den­tal expo­sure of med­ical per­son­nel to cyto­sta­t­ic sub­stances. Addi­tion­al­ly, clos­ing the deliv­ery line min­i­mizes the chance of infec­tions and infec­tions in patients.

Spiros con­nec­tors from ICU Med­ical are ful­ly com­pat­i­ble with all syringes equipped with Luer-Lock con­nec­tors.

With a high flow rate of at least 200 ml/min, the Spiros con­nec­tor can be used with syringes rang­ing in size from 3 to 60 ml. 

The automatic closure of the Spiros connector upon disconnection prevents the escape of cytostatic drug particles after, during, and throughout its administration, dissolution, or transfer.
