Hourly Urine Collection Kits

Hourly urine output measurement is one of the key parameters monitored in Intensive Care Units (ICUs). It is essential to ensure the ability to conduct precise and accurate hourly urine output measurements.

Equally important is the design of hourly urine collection systems. There are generally two types of designs: top-mounted systems, with the measuring chamber placed above the collection bag, and front-mounted systems, with the chamber mounted on the front of the collection bag. In vitro studies have shown that top-mounted systems help prevent ascending infections more effectively than front-mounted systems . The hourly urine collection systems available from Skamex are based on the top-mounted measuring chamber design.
