Con­va­Tec Com­pa­ny is a glob­al leader in the pro­duc­tion of stoma care equip­ment and advanced active dress­ings. The com­pa­ny employs over 9,000 peo­ple, oper­ates 11 man­u­fac­tur­ing facil­i­ties in 8 coun­tries, and has a pres­ence in over 100 coun­tries world­wide. The main head­quar­ters is locat­ed in New Jer­sey (Unit­ed States). In Poland, there has been a branch in War­saw since 1992. In 2008, Con­va­Tec merged with Dan­ish Unomed­ical, and in 2012, Con­va­Tec acquired 180 Med­ical. The com­pa­ny’s name is derived from the words “Con­va­les­cent Tech­nol­o­gy.”

The mis­sion of Con­va­Tec® is to pro­vide the high­est qual­i­ty prod­ucts for stoma care and the treat­ment of chron­ic wounds, and to offer com­pli­men­ta­ry ser­vices aimed at patients, busi­ness part­ners, and med­ical pro­fes­sion­als. The com­pa­ny sup­plies advanced dress­ings and tech­nolo­gies for the treat­ment of both chron­ic and acute wounds, as well as devices and acces­sories for indi­vid­u­als with stomas. Most notably, its most rec­og­niz­able dress­ings include hydrofiber, hydro­gel, algi­nate, polyurethane foam, and hydro­col­loid dress­ings: Aqua­cel, Aqua­cel Foam, Granugel, Granu­flex, Kalto­stat.

ConvaTec stoma products, hospital care

Con­va­Tec holds a lead­ing posi­tion in stoma care, wound treat­ment, hos­pi­tal care, and the pro­duc­tion of infu­sion devices. Con­va­Tec also pro­vides prod­ucts and ser­vices for indi­vid­u­als with uri­nary incon­ti­nence and oth­er inten­sive care devices, as well as dis­pos­able infu­sion kits used in insulin pump ther­a­py for peo­ple with dia­betes. The Hydrofiber tech­nol­o­gy accel­er­ates wound heal­ing, has gelling prop­er­ties, and inhibits bac­te­r­i­al growth. Hydro­col­loid dress­ings cre­ate a moist envi­ron­ment, which is opti­mal for prop­er wound heal­ing. These types of dress­ings are also often used for burn injuries. Algi­nate dress­ings, on the oth­er hand, are used for bleed­ing wounds or chron­ic wounds.
